JOHN FLOROS
Class President
John Floros is the Sophomore Class President. He attended the Buckingham Browne and Nichols school (BB&N) for elementary and middle school and is excited to be joining the Newton South community. He enjoys playing tennis and running cross-country, and was a member of the Newton South Cross Country team earlier this fall. John is looking forward to contributing his ideas in order to have the most productive and enjoyable year possible. He believes that one must give maximum effort when taking on large responsibilities, and he’s thrilled to give that of himself in order to lead the class of 2018. He looks forward to an exciting year.
SAM LINDER
Class Vice President Sam Linder is the Class Vice President of Newton South High School. He attended Brown Middle School and Countryside Elementary. His hobbies are soccer and cars. He is a soccer referee and loves playing soccer as well. He wold like to be a car designer when he grows up. Sam Likes to eat sushi and if he could go and live anywhere in the world it would be some warm European country. If you don't know Sam, you might recognize him by his bright red hair and happy attitude. He is very excited to be a class officer and hopes that he can be one through out the rest of his high school career. |
GANNON BARNETT
Class Officer This is Gannon Barnett, a sophomore class officer. He is interested in Class Office because he thinks that he has good ideas that would improve this school and make freshman year a more memorable year. He went to Bowen Elementary School and Oak Hill Middle school. Gannon has one sister who is 19 and goes to Cornell University. Outside of school, he is part of the Community Rowing (CRI) crew team, and has been on the team since last year. Although this takes up a majority of his time, he really enjoys it. Gannon also likes biking, and used to play tennis and basketball. He takes Chinese as a world language because he thinks it is very different from english, which intrigues him. Gannon is also taking Mixed Media One this year, which he enjoys. Gannon likes to take risks and try new things. He is a very outgoing person. Gannon is looking forward being a class officer this year, and hopes to continue his career in student government after this year. |
